Aside from photography, I began a new creative endeavor: handmade wood crafts. I am creating my own handmade, wood frames, boxes, and decor for my clients now as a way for them to display and store their wedding photos. After falling in love with so many wood items on Etsy and Pinterest, I thought it would be fun to finally create my own. However, there was just one small problem... I've never laid my hands on a power tool before.
Learn, explore, and always be curious... try things you never even imagined you would do. Everyone has something that they haven't tried, and there's no better time to start than now. You never know what may come of something new.
Of course with the help and talents of my fiancé, Jimmy, I am learning and finally getting my hands on tools for the first time. I even bought my own dremel and wood burner. Don't laugh, but this felt like a HUGE step into new territory. It truly feels like a whole new world of possibilities has opened up for me, allowing another outlet to explore my creativity. What excites me the most is how I am able to create something entirely unique and handcrafted for my clients that will compliment their beautiful wedding photos.
