Can you believe that these two met because of a dog?! I love their love story and am so excited to share Alexis and Mitch’s engagement photos at Kohler-Andrae State Park in Wisconsin on the blog!
From the Bride
Mitch went to neighboring high schools. I knew of him because he was the hockey star, but our circles never intermingled. Later, when I was a junior in college, I came across a picture of Koda (our dog), and I messaged him saying he was super cute, not thinking anything of it. He replied "thank you," and I didn't respond. He then kept messaging me, and we kept talking from there. We went on our first date to Baskin Robbins for ice cream and the rest is history.
Mitch proposed at my family cottage down on the dock. Both of our families were there along with my best friend from college. I’m looking forward to seeing him at the end of the aisle and seeing everyone that is close to us in the same spot on our wedding day.
I love traveling to Kohler-Andrae State Park in Wisconsin to meet up with Alexis and Mitch for their fall engagement photos. This was a destination (for me!) engagement session. This couple, the light, and the day were absolutely gorgeous… A photographer’s dream! What a joy to get to photograph this couple and get to know them better before their wedding day.
